Glanville Garden Tea Party

Glanville recently held a very successful Tea Party, although once again it unfortunately had to be held indoors due to the inclement weather.

We were particularly pleased to welcome our Patron Dr Karen Kyd, as it is always a delight when she is able to come and chat to our residents, along with the relatives and staff.

She was joined by a large number of Friends of Glanville, as well as many relatives of our lady residents, along with young grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Success in the RJA&HS Garden Competition

Glanville recently entered the 2024 RJA&HS Garden Competition and were delighted this year to have been awarded first place in Class 21 – Gardens attached to a Residential or Care Home.

This year we separately entered the Vegetable Garden into Class 9, the Best Kept Vegetable Garden and were even more thrilled to have gained first place in the section, in a very well contested group.

Finally, our resident Jean has taken up the opportunity of planting and caring for her own planters, set around the garden. These were also entered into the competition, and she was delighted to receive a personal certificate.
