Facilities that make all the difference.

Facilities

The bedrooms are situated on the first and ground floors. Access to the upper rooms is via a full sized lift or by two staircases each with a chair lift.

20 standard en suite bedrooms

Our standard rooms are comfortable, each having an ensuite toilet and washbasin. Within the room there is a commodious built in wardrobe, space for a chest of drawers or bookcase as well as plentiful shelving on which personal items may be displayed. The rooms have space for a family member or friend to sit when visiting a resident of the home.

Two respite rooms

There are two respite rooms which are similar to the standard rooms, but have a wash basin only. However respite residents are not inconvenienced as the bathroom is just adjacent to their bedroom door.

Three larger en suite rooms

Our larger rooms are considerably more spacious and have an area which could accommodate a sofa and extra furniture, thereby creating a separate sitting room area.

One medical room

Our medical room is fully equipped for occasions when residents need to see their GP, a District Nurse, or to have a dressing attended to by one of the staff. It is also available for use by the visiting chiropodist. Additionally, we have a separate hairdressing salon.

The photos below show a room before a lady has moved in, and after it has been personalised by the new resident.

Communal areas

We have a large communal dining area to seat all residents.

Our television lounge leads into a light and airy conservatory for quiet games and receiving visitors.

We have a piano lounge where ladies who can play are welcome to or residents can relax. From this piano room, the patio doors lead to an outside terrace where residents and visitors can also spend time.

Residents can buy their own small items from the trolley shop.

Outside areas

The Home sits in beautiful grounds, including a large lawn and beautiful flower beds, a rose garden and fruit and vegetable gardens.

There are benches and sunshades at the front of the building where residents often like to sit in good weather.
