The friendly and qualified staff of Glanville provide short stay and respite care for any period, as well as ongoing permanent care. Each resident will have an individually tailored contract outlining the services that they may expect to receive from Glanville, as well as a personal Care Plan.
All our meals are home cooked by our fully trained chef, often using fruit and vegetables sourced directly from our garden. Meals are eaten communally with daily choices offered from a varied and nutritious menu.
Entertainment and outings are arranged on a frequent basis, including trips to the Opera House and daytime island tours or visits to garden centres etc. These are much enjoyed by all, including our regular drivers.
Our residents enjoy a wide range of activities, suited to all capabilities, but individually tailored to the personality and interests of each lady.
One of the Ministers from St Mark's Church also attends the Home on a monthly basis to give Communion and hold a short service for any ladies who wish to attend. Ladies of other faiths are of course welcome to invite their own Ministers to visit them in the Home.
We welcome visitors at any time during the day that is convenient to their resident family member or friend. However visiting before 9 a.m. and after 9 p.m. should only be under exceptional circumstances and with the approval of the senior staff member on duty.
An online review about Glanville (www.carehome.co.uk) says:
Amazing care home! The staff are wonderful and their manager is a very down to earth lady who makes you feel welcomed as soon as you enter the building, I'd recommend Glanville to anybody looking for a care home.
